Ideal candidate with have knowledge of menu development including financial aspects of costing and ingredient management. Must have a passion for working with a variety of spices and chilis. Experience working with herbs, teas, smoothie bar, café helpful. Must have basic food safety certification.
Responsibilities include purchasing, food prep, counter service, clean up, scheduling, record keeping and establishment of policies /procedures. Assistant Restaurant Manager
(Full Time – Temporary)
Assist the Restaurant Manager with the daily operations of the restaurant.
High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree in related field preferred. A minimum of two years Food/Beverage and Supervisory experience required. Food Service Sanitation and CPR certification preferred. Thorough knowledge of F&B operations including but not limited to: foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques, and guest interaction. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing, with guest and employees, some of whom may require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy required. Collect accurate information to resolve problems. Ability to walk, stand and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and to lift lighter objects overhead. Ability to move 600 lbs. with wheeled assistance. Must possess basic mathematical skills and the ability to use a calculator and/or adding machine. Positive, service-oriented attitude towards our Guests, Employees, and able to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods. Other duties as needed.
Salary Range: $37K – $42K negotiable based on experience.
