Budding Chefs Compete in Honor of Tom and Warren Matsuda

The fifth annual Tom and Warren Matsuda Scholarship Culinary Competition at the Sub-Zero/Wolf Showroom was held on Nov. 16. Students from the seven culinary programs within the Culinary Institute of the Pacific were eligible to compete.
The first place winner received a $1,000 scholarship and will assist event founder Chef Roy Yamaguchi at a mainland charitable event or cooking demonstration. The second place winner received a $500 scholarship and will assist Yamaguchi at an Oahu charitable event. The third place winner received a $250 scholarship and also will assist Yamaguchi at an Oahu charitable event.
